About:
After representing WA in the National Under 18s championships and playing in a colts flag with South Fremantle, Paul was placed on the club’s rookie list at the end of the 2003 season, and then re-drafted at the end of 2005.
He was elevated from the rookie list in 2006 and made his debut in the round 5 "Sirengate" match against St Kilda in Launceston. He went on to play seven matches in his first season, and won the club's Best WAFL Player Award. He was rewarded for his strong form with a permanent place on the primary list for the 2007 season.
Appearing in seven matches for Fremantle in 2007, Paul complimented his AFL appearances with consistent games in the midfield and across half back for South Fremantle in the WAFL.
