Bradshaw, 31, quit the Lions in mid-October following a tumultuous trade week and opted to seek a long-term contract elsewhere and held talks with both the Swans and Carlton before accepting a three-year deal to see out his career in Sydney.
Bradshaw began training with the Swans in early November and With a record of 496 goals from 219 games, Bradshaw looms as an ideal choice to bolster the Swans’ new look forward line in 2010.
What coach Paul Roos had to say about Bradshaw: "The role we want him to play is next to Jesse, similar to what Mick did. Braddy’s a different player to Mick but they both bring similar skills. They’re both goalkickers and they both help other players around them and bring them into the game. We’re happy for him to play close to goal and I think that’s when he plays his best footy and when he’s most dangerous.”
